RETAIL ASSOCIATION CALLS FOR CONSENSUS ON ECONOMIC RECOVERY PACKAGE

The Retail Assciation expresses the concerns of the members it represents regarding the political discourse, which is preventing the recovery of the local economy after the explosion of COVID-19.

The decline in economic activity alongside the public health emergency situation has fundamentally damaged businesses, while the lack of consensus across the political spectrum to support businesses through an economic stimulus package is calling into question the future of these companies.

The network states that the delays in the implementation of the Fiscal Emergency Package and the approval of the Economic Recovery Package are causing irreparable damage, endangering jobs and economic entities.

The Retail Association calls on all parties to put aside their differences and focus on addressing economic issues in order to guarantee the well-being of citizens and economic well-being.
