MEETING WITH THE PRIME MINISTER MR. AVDULLAH HOTI AND DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER MR. DRITON SELMANAJ

The Board of Directors of the Retail Association was received today in a meeting by the Prime Minister Mr. Avdullah Hoti and Deputy. Prime Minister Driton Selmanaj to discuss the economic situation in the country and the requirements of the retail sector.

• The Prime Minister expressed his readiness to quickly address the issue of calluses, by setting certain permissible norms for the loss, destruction, evaporation of certain products, during production, storage, holding at points of sale or during transport.
• Regarding the issue of placing the flag of the country of origin for all products which is significantly harming businesses, it was discussed finding a modality that would remove this obstacle while local products would receive stronger support.
• Based on the best practices of the region and the legislation of the European Union countries, the need to set prices per unit of plastic bags based on their environmental impact was discussed.
• The Prime Minister expressed full readiness for the inclusion of the Retail Association in the National Council for Economy and Investment (KKEI) and also invited representatives from the organization to participate in the next meeting.

The Retail Association congratulated the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. The Prime Minister for the work done towards drafting the Draft Law on Economic Recovery while welcoming the decision to allocate an additional 60 million for business pay lines.
